The children at BestStart Vivian Street went on an exciting adventure to the"Glow Show" to learn about the story of Matariki.

As we arrived at the theater, we patiently lined up behind all the other children to see the show. We were slowly guided inside to use the elevator. Once we are all seated, the lights turned off and we are greeted with a shock wave of glowing stars that begin to tell us the story of Matariki.

It was so very dark and very loud however very easy to see and hear. Connor loved every minute as he engaged with the story of Matariki. The story began to unfold, a story of sibling rivalry where the youngest was picked on and ran away, ultimately discovering that when times are tough, your brothers and sisters are who you truly need.

At BestStart Vivian, we recognise that the children are not just with us for care, they are with us for a life, to see, hear and experience a range of activities.  Having children out in the community and experiencing a range of activities supports a passion for learning, ensuring that they get the best out of life starting from a young age.
