We were absolutely thrilled when one of our amazing whanau at BestStart Stratford recognised a learning opportunity for our tamariki and just popped in with items of interest. Today we were very curious to see what Ollie's dad Daniel brought in for us to see.  Daniel and Ollie brought in a Stoat, a Weasel, a Ferret, a Rat and a Kiwi. Thanks to these animals undergoing taxidermy we were able to look at them and touch them up close. Needless to say, our tamariki were very curious and interested with lots of questions which Daniel did very well at answering. Some of our tamariki had never seen these animals before. What a wonderful experience.  Even us big tamariki really enjoyed it. I never knew that Kiwis had such sharp claws on their feet. I guess we are always learning no matter what age we are. Thank you again Daniel and Ollie.
