Over the past week we have been very busy in the Paua classroom at BestStart Montessori St Albans! We have been learning about the seven continents that make up our planet. This has been our theme for the school holiday programme, as we run this alongside our Montessori programme.

So far, we have learnt about North and South America, Antartica, Africa, Australasia and Asia. The children have enjoyed exploring the continent boxes and looking at all the different pictures of other continents. It's started many of interesting conversations with the tamariki. The tamariki have enjoyed making kiwi bird masks, paper weaving, creating their own polar bear, and even some origami too! The tamariki made their own paper teacup! They enjoyed drinking from it (quickly) before the paper went a little soggy! The tamariki have been using their creative skills daily and have through enjoyed all the activities on offer!

I wonder what we will learn about in the second week?
