Kia Ora Tatou,

Today has been a very exciting morning as we had our building blessed by Paora of Te Waiohua. As we stood outside with the lights off, the incantations from Paora started. As this happened the lights turned on by themselves, and we moved towards the building and inside. Paora cleansed the spirits and we cleansed the physical objects by touching them, filling everything inside our walls with love, ensuring our precious children are safe and treasured. As Paora finished he left us with a quote

‘You may see the four walls in a whare, but you do not see the love, be the love that guides and nurtures. He tangata, he tangata, he tangata, it is the people, the people, the people.’

We gathered round some yummy kai, and stories of the ancestors in our area who dated back hundreds of years followed, allowing us to connect to our whenua, and understand it’s beginnings. We can’t wait to see you all on Monday, to start our journey on a fresh waka, leading us to greatness.
