When you 'bring your A game' to ignite a passion for teaching and learning, that means using a variety of ways to involve nga tamariki in a range of activities where they can explore their interests. Several of our children had expressed an interest in volcanoes, by using a range of different media, they were able to have multiple discussions around their understanding of, and gaining new knowledge.
It was an aha moment when we saw Mia, take her Daddy over to her group's creation, and share all her knowledge about lava, rocks and eruptions with him. Her passion for learning was as hot as lava and she was involving her whanau in her excitement! Ka pai to mahi Mia - we are so proud of you and your friends learning!
