Bringing the indoors outdoors!
Here at Best start Riccarton, we like to explore different ways we can practice our fine and gross motor skills, this is something that every preschool does - but we take the inside-outside to ensure even our tamariki who love the outside gets to explore different ways to learn and develop relationships.
Social skills are a really important part of when we grow up and go to school so we love to explore different ways to teach this skill. One we do this is to support children learn turn-taking and this is such a tricky skill to learn. One way we do this is by setting up challenging obstacles where each child has the opportunity to wait their turn and help their peers.
