Celebrating Anzac Day at ABC Hayman Park
ABC Hayman Park Rua centre celebrated ANZAC Day to commemorate all those who served and died in military operations for their countries. Australians and New Zealanders recognise 25 April as a ceremonial occasion to reflect on the cost of war and to remember those who fought and lost their lives for their country.
To commemorate this day here at Hayman Park we created some poppy flowers, New Zealand flags and baked some ANZAC cookies. We also had a marching parade around our playground. The marching was followed by singing of the National Anthem by teachers and children along with a moment of silence.
