Celebrating Chinese New Year at ABC Dannemora

This month we had a great time celebrating Chinese new year! We invited all our parents and whanau to come join in and got everyone to participate in making dumplings and lanterns. We also had a special performance by the local Chinese community! We ended our beautiful celebration by inviting all our parents to come to the front and sing a Chinese song for everyone. Celebrating Chinese new year allowed our tamariki to learn more about the Chinese culture, protocols, food, and celebrations. Happy year of the pig everyone!
