Riding bikes, scooters and any type of wheels helps to build leg muscles, strengthen bones and build stamina and cardiovascular development. Cycling can also help improve moods and relieve stress. Aside from the health benefits, cycling in large groups also helps with spatial awareness as faster riders negotiate their way through the crowd. The social learning comes with sharing our wheels with others, waiting for turns and navigating through wheels of all shapes and sizes. Sharing experiences to revisit later is a great way to unite the centre and promote kotahitanga!
