Celebrating Holi at BestStart Rototuna
Today we celebrated Holi within the centre, embedding our localised curriculum through developing understanding of one of the many cultures that welcome the spring, coming out winter, celebrating through the colours that signify good over bad, spreading happiness and love, in turn bringing good fortune and harvesting throughout the country.
Children are developing a sense of what part they play coming into the centre learning new cultures and what and where their friends come from, building on their theories/understandings of other countries and what role they play in each others lives
