Celebrating the Indian culture
Today we celebrated our Indian families with special dances, dress ups, and henna. The children all wore their bright clothes to really get into the spirit of the day. We love connecting with our families and learning about their culture and celebrations.
Today one of our mums came into teach us about their Indian culture, she taught us wonderful dance moves to amazing music. She also put henna on us, which we just loved looking in the mirror to see.
We really enjoyed this wonderful experience. The children loved telling their loved ones at pick up times, and the families were so grateful, that we embrace all cultures at our centre and celebrate them all authentically. Partnership with our whanau is a key value at BestStart Papanui.
