Colourful Holi Celebrations

Today we celebrated Holi, the Indian festival of colours. This is one of our favourite celebrations here at Great North Road and is anticipated by staff and children. Both the children and teachers had so much fun playing with the colours! This festival is all about embracing diversity, forgetting resentments, new beginnings and just having fun. What a great way to spread some positivity and laughter! 

During this celebration the children were able to learn about another culture and many of our children were able to share their own culture. This supported our children to develop their communication and social skills.  We look forward to celebrating again next year and hopefully having our families come and join us too.
