BestStart Vivian Street's children love going to visit and delight the residents in our local community Rest Home.
Children love the sense of adventure when we walk to the Rest Home. They learn about being responsible and about road safety and are curious about the world around them. The children enjoy their time with the older residents of the rest home and the residents love their energy and singing talents.
Through engaging with our local community, children experience a sense of their place in the wider world. Children are exposed to people in varying stages of life, learning kindness, empathy and respect. Alongside all of these benefits, nga tamariki enjoy the outings, and have fun!
