The children have had a fantastic time getting wet, exploring ice, baking, riding their bikes on wheels day, dancing, harvesting vegetables and gardening! With the weather being so incredibly hot the ice and water were a hit! We had lots of shrieks and giggles whilst racing down the water slide, playing under the hose and tipping and pouring water in the water trough and occasionally over each other!!! The ice was an interesting science activity where the children melted and chipped at the ice to break out the treasures frozen inside…our garden has been thriving despite the hot, dry days and the children have harvested tomatoes, corn, blueberries and zucchinis as well as having turns at holding the hose to water it! Turn taking and learning to care for our gardens. Bike riding was fun, fun, fun especially on our purpose-built bike track. We teach the children to ride in only one direction to avoid crashes! After the hot work of biking the children enjoyed ice blocks that they made themselves…what a delicious treat!! Dancing has been fun! Some of our children have great moves and a fabulous sense of rhythm these children can dance to anything including Beethoven!!
