We have witnessed some amazing creations this month at  BestStart Meadowbank. The tamariki started with simple creations like houses, shops and farmhouses and we are very glad to see their progress over time. They are now into creating complex structures  and buildings that involves a variety of resources, teamwork, creativity, plenty of focus, perseverance, time and follow up.

We teachers have been providing them with resources like loose parts, recycled and natural materials, measuring instruments and pictures of famous structures around the world as provocations in order to widen and deepen their understanding, for them to take up challenges and  learn and contribute alongside others. Creating a ‘ Burj Khalifa’, an ‘Eiffel tower’ , building a city and a ramp was all part of our exciting building and construction journey this month!
