Creating nurturing, responsive, reciprocal, relationships based on openness and collaboration is paramount to us here at BestStart Te Awamutu. Over the last month we have been incredibly lucky to have some of our parents, caregivers and whānau join us in the centre, supporting the tamaiki in their learning and development through sharing their passions, skills and knowledge with us.

Lately, the children in the Sprouts have being discovering the “wonders of nature”.  Our whānau have been supporting the tamariki, through making bird houses, volcanoes and bringing in insects, amphibians and nature from home. We love embracing whakawhanaungatanga and believe it supports the foundation for our little locals to grow and flourish.  We believe this partnership benefits children as it creates more meaningful learning, which enhances children’s development. We absolutely adore having our parents, caregivers and whānau spend time within our setting, supporting the tamariki on their learning journey, working collectively together.
