Creating and commemorating

On ANZAC morning some of our BestStart Petone teachers, children and families attended our local Petone ANZAC rail memorial service across the road from our centre. The children in preparation had been working really hard on creating their poppy wreath to be presented during the service. We were called forward to lay our wreath during the ceremony and the children proudly went forward to do so.

At BestStart Petone we have a real focus on being an active member of our community and this is just one of the ways we do so.
