In June, our focus has been on creativity, including drawing, painting and messy play, ngā tamariki love getting creative and exploring with all their senses, and they are learning so much as they do so. 

Art and messy play activities can help children relax – it is a very soothing activity. They experiment with and explore the solutions' properties and learn about colour mixing, patterns, design, and texture. 

They are developing hand, eye, arm and body coordination developing finger and hand muscles. They begin to develop writing skills. They discover different ways to be creative and expressive.
