At BestStart Vivian Street we are very privileged to have Whaea Raewyn join us for music sessions. Her sessions with us are interactive and fun and tamariki really look forward to them. The sessions provide links to community, people, places and things.

Whaea Raewyn is the only person providing these sessions to early childhood centres, kura and schools across Taranaki. Having Whaea Raewyn in our centre supports our commitment to celebrate nga tamariki's mana, it also links to our centre vision of Bringing our A game to ignite a passion for teaching and learning.

When she's at the centre sharing her passion and expertise it is always fun. Tamariki choose to participate and it encourages their creativity and confidence and provides links to tangata whenua, giving tamariki the opportunity to explore and experience child and whanau learning.

Tamariki remember the waiata and it can be heard across all curriculum areas throughout the day.  Tamariki also choose to include waiata they have learned from Whaea Raewyn in special celebrations which shows they have really brought their A game to their learning!
