At BestStart Ponsonby although we celebrate a sense of belonging and cultural identity every day our teachers still think it is very important to recognise culture and language through a cultural week. We hold this annually. We celebrate this through the continents; Africa, Asia, America, Europe and the South Pacific. Our teachers in consultation with parents plan fun experiences with our children where we learn where certain countries are, sport that they are famous for playing, music and traditional dances along with significant meals or recipes that we can make with our children. This week is always a lot of fun and we always get great feedback from it. Take a look at some of the fun we got up to this year.
