Developing our gross motor skills
Nga tamariki have so much fun exploring what is on offer in our Nursery environment. Our big focus at the moment is building relationships with each other and gaining confidence using all our muscles in our body. In the indoor environment we love creating with blocks with a favourite of building towers and knocking them down and practising our music skills, sharing the resources we have and working together to create different sounds. We enjoy using the equipment by practising balancing on our balance board, showing everyone the great skills we have mastered and also feeling brave to explore the outdoors using strategies to problem solve and have task persistence as we master the obstacle course. Nga tamariki have had a wonderful time on their transition visits in the Pre School where we are able to extend on all the gross motor skills we learnt in the Nursery.
