Dinosaur Party in Arahi Room
The Arahis Room had fun exploring and investigating all their working theories related to dinosaurs. The children were happy to extend their interest in dinosaurs through a variety of learning experiences. The holistic approach to learning offered activities in all different curriculum areas.
They watched how the dinosaur eggs hatch and tiny dinosaur babies come out of it. A special thanks to Micheal and Clarissa, Tori's parents for helping our children have this awesome experience.
Arahi's creativity and imagination helped them to make cool dinosaur hats using egg cartons. They stomped their way to go dinosaur hunting. The numbered dinosaur feet helped them to learn numbers in a fun way.
The young scientists in Arahi were at action excavating the dinosaur bones to learn about their history. They dug into the soil looking for fossils and traces of evidences about dinosaurs. They learned about prehistoric volcanic eruptions which could be one reason for dinosaur extinction through their favourite vinegar and baking soda experiment. And what more could the inquistive mind have other than gloop and dinosaur skeletons.
The tamariki also moved to the rhythm of some pop music and dinosaur sounds as they watched the light and shadow show of dinosaurs. They recalled the names of different dinosaurs from their shadow.
Last but not the least, we had dinosaur food. Healthy celery, carrot and capsicum in a swamp of delicious hummus, dinosaur cookies, dinosaur cheese on toast and dinosaur skeleton pasta. After all that investigation and learning they couldn't wait to relish these healthy delicacies.
