Discovering Coloured Ice
Science and Technology is a key learning area and here at BestStart Riverbend we ensure tamariki are offered opportunities to investigate and discover a variety of ways to explore this curriculum area.
This week we offered a messy play day with coloured ice to engage their sense of wonder and curiosity. Our tamariki loved being able to use their senses to describe how the ice felt "slippery, icey, cold" as they watched it melt, used it to create patterns and enjoyed mixing the colours together.
