We had an awesome week of Diwali celebration at our centre.  We explored the language, culture and food from our Indian community. The children did art and craft work with creating 'diya' (oil lamp), did henna designs, Rangoli patterns and our parents also participated in the 'Rangoli' competition. Our children got the opportunity to explore the taste of Indian food where they prepared 'barfi' (Indian sweet) and 'puri and aloo' for their lunch. They had so much fun as they danced to the beats of Bollywood songs, dressed in colorful Indian outfit. This cultural celebration allowed the children to experience their own culture and that of others.
