Today the tamariki had a splashing good time exploring the water and mirror pebbles. As soon as the water was tipped into the trough lid all the tamariki made their way over, climbed straight in and started splashing away and looking at themselves in the pebbles. Throughout this experience the tamariki were gaining confidence in and control of their bodies and building on their social skills as they splashed alongside each other, shared the pebbles and explored in the same space.
