One of our tamariki Reggie moved to Japan recently. Today I messaged Stevie (his mum who also relieved as a teacher here) to see if Reggie would like to catch up with his old friends via Facetime. It was 12pm here and 9am there in Kobe Japan. It was wonderful to catch up and we even sung Reggie and Stevie our Matariki waiata.  We asked Reggie how he says good morning in Japanese and he told us "ohayƍ gozaimasu" or  "Konnichiwa"  (good day).

Isn't technology amazing allowing us to share cultures a world away over the internet?
