Fire Fighters!
Today we had some exciting visitors come to preschool. It was fire fighters from the St Albans Fire Station. They brought along their fire fighting clothes, breathing mask and of course their fire truck for us to have a look at. We listened carefully to what the fire fighter was telling us about being safe in a fire and we also got to ask questions. Some of the children even had information for the fire fighters. Charlie informed them that if there's a fire and we open a door, the fire could spread. Libby said that the smoke goes to the ceiling and Harrison told us that we need to get out stay out. Once we saw the fire fighter change into his fire fighting gear, we got to go out to look at the fire engine. This was very exciting, the children even got to sit inside it. The children were given stickers and they proudly showed off their stickers to each other. What a fun morning.
