Through this inquiry they harvested apple seeds from apples both from our own orchard and from apples from the supermarket. After researching how to germinate the seeds they placed them in the fridge in a zip lock bag for a few weeks until they germinated. Then the children planted their germinated seeds and watched them grow. They learned how to care for the planted seeds, watering and fertilizing them regularly. After a few more weeks our seeds are now growing into wonderful apple plants. I wonder how big they will grow?
