Getting creative with chalk
At BestStart Kelvin Grove we have a new outdoor blackboard that the children are just loving. The kaiako had been busy for weeks getting it ready so it was no wonder that when it was finally up the children gravitated towards it.
The tamariki have really enjoyed drawing on the new blackboard, developing their creative and social skill through turn taking, sharing the coloured pieces of chalk and admiring each others drawings.
In the Koru room, we have also been busy with baking, and exploring various sensory experiences such as drawing, finger painting, ooblek, and exploring with sensory bags and bottles.
