Getting our hands dirty
Today in the preschool we did a fun sensory activity, the tamariki were able to watch the reaction when adding water and food colouring to the salt. It created a gritty texture, and the tamariki were able to talk about this with their Kaiako and what they had noticed during the process. As you can see some of our tamariki, dived straight in and really enjoyed this sensory activity. It enabled our older tamariki to learn alongside our younger and guide them in this learning process (Tuakana teina).
