The tamariki have really enjoyed the group topic of 'Our Bodies'. A wide range of ages have been engaged in this learning over the past month. The Kiwi group have been involved in many activities to challenge their physical skills and learn about their body parts.

Using visual aids such as books, pictures and skeleton, conversations within small groups, song and dance and encouraging tamariki to challenge their physical skills have been our most successful strategies. Art and craft activities were engaging and supported children to learn about bodies through different modes. We can see this interest continue through dramatic play in the “doctors”.
