Harvesting our delicious corn
The children at BestStart Montessori Johnsonville have been very intentional with the care of their vegetable garden, and their manakitanga has now paid off. Today was finally corn harvesting day.
We all work together at Montessori Johnsonville so everyone had a job to do. Some children twisted the ears of corn off the stalks, some removed the husks. A couple of children took the rubbish to the compost bin whilst still others cut the corn off the cobs. Then we all shared in the produce for afternoon tea. Fresh corn is yum!
