March was another busy month here at BestStart Havelock North as the tamariki took an active part in harvesting our vegetable garden. There was such delight as they discovered tomatoes, cucumber, courgettes and even a giant marrow which one child was very keen to claim and take home. His very enterprising mother made relish and even a delicious marrow cake which we all enjoyed.

We celebrated “Rock Your Socks” Day where we wore mismatched socks to celebrate diversity, in particular Down Syndrome, and it wouldn’t be March without a fun St Patricks day with music, dancing and arts’n’crafts with a green flavour.

Another awesome month at BestStart Havelock North.
