Learning Opportunitites during lockdown

Staying connected with the tamariki and their families is very important to us. During the lockdown, we have been sharing ideas with parents about how to stay engaged in children’s learning during the time they are at home and how to extend on what they have been learning at the centre.  

Providing continuity in learning is of great importance for children and their development. Providing families with creative ideas how to introduce early learning at home and continuing our strong relationships with parents have been our priority during the lockdowns.  

Staying connect with our families is also going to support children to transition smoothly back to the centre when the lockdown is finished, and to feel confident about their relationships and confident in their sense of belonging.
