Learning to identify numbers

We have incorporated this into all aspects of our children’s day. There are lots of games we play such as number bingo, hopscotch, and uno. We have been using our number shape cutters with play dough, baking and looking at the measurement numbers, tracing mats with numbers and finding numbers on their clothes and toys. These are fun ways for our tamariki to learn to identify 0 to 20. Number games have become their favourites!  

Our tamariki have become very confident with identifying 0 to 10, they are seeing numbers everywhere now! Our next step is to learn to identify 11 to 20.
