Loving Our Loose Parts
Children are naturally curious learners and explore the world around them through play experiences. At BestStart Napier Central our children love to explore using the loose parts. Loose parts are materials that can be moved, carried, combined, redesigned, lined up, and taken apart and put back together in multiple ways. They provide our children with endless opportunities to investigate and build on their play and as they are open ended.
We love seeing how the resources are used as the children work together to build and invent creations with no set rules, instructions, or expectations involved. They are able to explore, experiment, imagine and create their ideas freely.
At BestStart Napier Central we are passionate and intentional about providing an environment where nature is at the heart and with natural bits and bobs it’s amazing to watch children’s creativity flow.
