Lunar New Year celebrations at BestStart Albany

We really enjoyed celebrating Lunar New Year and had a great turn out of Chinese parents and whanau that joined our celebration. We celebrated Lunar New Year through storytelling, art, sensory play and cooking. 

We were lucky to have our Chinese families joining us and sharing their culture with us through Peking Opera, erhu music, fan dancing and making dumplings. We have learnt so much through this celebration. A big thank you to the parents and whanau that were open to sharing their culture with us and teaching us about their heritage.
