Making a splash
The kaiako noticed the tamariki were taking a particular interest in water, trying to seek this resource inside. We used this interest to set up an experience, providing a wide range of resources the tamariki could explore in the water. This became a popular attraction immediately as it was well visited and explored by all our tamariki. This experience promoted cognitive development as the tamariki used the resources to engage in science and mathematical experimentation. This can be seen through tamariki measuring and pouring, trying to make bubbles, textures and more.
