Manaakitanga-Sharing the Love
The beginning of the golden weather was celebrated at BestStart Havelock North as the tamariki continue to make discoveries in their learning environment and new friends were welcomed to our centre.
There was renewed interest in the garden as our vegetables were ready to harvest, and a bird’s nest was discovered. Active movement became another focus as the children initiated their own games and developed their skills in physical play with balls, hoops and hopscotch. Early numeracy skills continue to be supported and extended with measurement and maths language. Music and movement sessions provided opportunities for children to develop their confidence in expressing themselves through dance with their friends.
Our programme and planning focus “Manaakitanga-Sharing the Love” continues as children are empowered to share their ideas and interests through role play and creative projects, caring for our environment and working together. Having fun all the way!
