Manaakitanga @ The Heart of Our Learning
Thank you to all our BestStart Riverbend Rd whānau who generously donated to The Breeze FM's "Pack the Bus" charity drive for the Hastings and Napier Women's Refuge. Our donations of clothing, toys, non-perishable foods, and hygiene products were gratefully received and will make someone's Christmas that little bit better this year.
It is great to see our centre whānau and community supporting this cause and helping us live out our vision - "Manaakitanga @ The Heart of Our Learning". Being able to demonstrate the joy of giving to our tamariki supports them to learn about the values of kindness, generosity and aroha. It can also support hem to develop awareness of the ways in which they can make contributions to others and others wellbeing (Te Whairki, 2017).
