Over the last month our tamariki have been absolutely fascinated by insects here at BestStart Botany Junction.

One of our teachers brought some snails from home. The children named them Dandelion and Sunshine. The children kept observing how they moved, what they ate, how they pooped and wondered if they slept. Over the whole month the children helped their kaiako's in forming a habitat for the pet snails. Children started bringing some food form their home to feed their pets. They brought all their favourite vegetables likes carrots
