Messy Play and Art Experiences
BestStart Blenheim Central grows confident explorers by having messy play or art experiences out every day for children of all ages to engage in and take their time to explore throughout the day.
These messy play experiences include gloop, sensory ice and water sensory gel as well as painting and dot drawing.
From these experiences the children are able to develop their spatial awareness by knowing where the paper and dot marker are, they are also able to develop on their fine motor skills such as pinch and grip skills when griping the dot marker or squeezing the messy play in their hands. These experiences empower the children to learn and grow physically, emotionally, cognitively and spiritually, it also supports children to develop stronger relationships with their peers as they learn to share and take turns with the resources used in these experiences.
