Sensory play supports language development, cognitive growth, fine/gross motor skills, problem- solving / reasoning, and social interaction. Children will experience lots of opportunities to develop their fine motor skills – squishing and squeezing can help develop pre-writing skills.

Today nga tamariki had the opportunity to have fun with some slime that I had made, which I had added some of our small animals to add a little bit of intrigue, wonderment and awe to their play. I love how each individual child interacts with this sensory experience differently and respecting each other
