Moving and Grooving in Mātāmua
Tamariki in the Mātāmua room have regular opportunities for group activities in music and movement. Kaiako create an environment where children experience an understanding and familiarity with music, song, and dance through a range of cultures including using music instruments. Tamariki from the Potiki room have also joined in to be part of this session which provided an opportunity to our infants and toddlers to explore and experience an interactive environment for initiating and enjoying relationships with others. Children felt happy and excited as the music session has become a platform where they have been seen expressing their feelings and ideas using all of their senses and physical abilities to make sense of the world.
