The BestStart Regent Kindy whanau has once again shared kindness and love to our wider community through Soulfood. We received kind donations from our whanau - Roast Beef from Mum Isla and Ivy-Jay's whanau, vegetables from Nana Chrissy and Hughie's whanau and wraps from our friends from BestStart Maunu Village.

Our children helped in preparing the meals, peeling the vegetables (and eating some!). All these kind donations were turned into yummy dinner of roast beef, stir-fry vegetables and ham and cheese wraps that fed the homeless of Whangarei. Whanaungatanga and aroha are definitely alive within us as we all contributed to give back to our community.

We will have our regular Soulfood Activity every first Friday of the month. There are different ways on how we can help and support if we want to take part in this meaningful and heartwarming activity.

1. Help the centre in preparing one dish for Soulfood every first Friday of the month

2. Donate surplus vegetables, fruits, tinned goods, bread, pasta and other food

3. Help during meal preparation (starts from 3:30 pm)

4. Help serve food during the feeding (starts at 7:30 pm)
