Spring is the best season to plant some vegetables. As the weather is getting warmer, we planted some carrots in the garden with our tamariki a couple of weeks ago. Our tamariki were so excited and keen to help Keisey sow the carrot seeds. We also talked about the life cycle of the carrots and how we look after them. Since that, tamariki have been showing Keisey how well the carrots are being looked after.  They water the carrots often to keep the soil wet. Our older tamariki are also reminding our younger tamariki to use gentle hands around our growing vegetables. We have noticed some changes after the long weekend. When we returned to Montessori, we were very exciting to see carrots are sprouting!!
