This years' Christmas celebration was a bit different. Covid-19 changed the way we connected with our families through events at the centre.

But we thought we will celebrate it with our smaller family- our team and our children. Atawhai and Arahi room came together to have Christmas buffet Lunch with the teachers. It was an awesome new experience for our Children to see the set lunch table for each of them. They enjoyed the food made by our loving cook Wannee and their teachers.

They missed the bouncy castle fun but sitting together and having lunch was indeed a new experience. Christmas vibes were in the air with the music and the aroma of the christmas cookies. They loved helping the younger ones and setting an example. They experienced a great sense of belonging and felt an environment where they could learn together and gain their confidence.

They were happy to receive their gift bags with christmas cards, tree hangings and surprise gifts for them. We wanted to end this weird year on a happy note. Even though we missed our whanau, we tried our best to give our children a memorable day. Wishing you all a merry Christmas Whanau
