Our elderly neighbours
We have a lovely reciprocal relationship with the rest home next door. It started off with us visiting them to sing on occasion. We invited them to come and visit us and a diversional therapist now comes over with three dementia residents fortnightly. They love visiting us and we love having them over! The tamariki are becoming more accustom to what elderly people look and act like (they have very wrinkly skin) and the visitors pay close attention to what is shown to them. The interactions are lovely to see.
