Our first donation to Family Works for the year
Our tamariki and whanau have been donating kai towards our One Can cause since January this year.
It has been in the news that food banks are running out of food to donate to families in need and since we have collected so much kai already, we thought it would be a great idea to make 2 x donations to Family works this year. One now, and one in December.
We took 6 of our tamariki with us, all who have made a donation to our One Can cause. The manager of Family works was very grateful towards us for our donation and said that the kai would help a lot of their families in need now which is fantastic. This is such an awesome way for our tamariki to learn about people and places within their community and also how to help those who are in need, even if its small.
We can't wait to start collecting more kai for our December drop off to Family works and would like to thank all of our families who have donated food already. Ka pai to mahi whanau. We are so proud of our centre and our families.
