This evening we had our first Faringdon East Whanau Evening, we invited our wonderful whanau to come along and enjoy a social evening of tamariki performing waiata, two special birthday's and a delicious shared kai where we encouraged whanau to bring their favourite family dish for others to try and enjoy.

It was a lovely relaxed evening for whanau to get to know each other and spend time engaging in meaningful conversation with kaiako about their wonderful tamariki.

We also invited tamariki and whanau to contribute to our Aroha fingerprint artwork we are collating as a centre community.

It was an awesome night for relationship building, interaction and getting to know each other's culture; creating a lovely sense of closeness within our families and centre community.

Waiho i te toipoto,

Kaua i te toiroa,

(Let us keep close together, not far apart)
